My decision is based on the following factors
You have stated in your application that you intend to travel to Australia to visit xxxxxxx zzzzz in Victoria.
In your application you state that you are a Buddhist Monk at the qqqqq bbbbb
Viharaya in pppppp , hhhhhh. However, you have given limited evidence of
supporting documentation regarding your current duties as a Buddhist priest within this
temple or evidence to show that this would act as a strong commitment to return to SriLanka.
You have very limited previous travel overseas in your capacity as a Buddhist Priest and
therefore you have no history of compliance with immigration law. I am therefore not satisfied
that you are a genuine visitor or that you have shown sufficient incentive to return to Sri
Lanka.
While I have given due consideration to the letter of support provided by sponsors in
Australia, I am not satisfied that this in itself would act as sufficient guarantee to warrant your
return to Sri Lanka. Given the limited documentation provided regarding your circumstances
in Sri Lanka, I find that I am not satisfied that you intend a genuine visit to Australia.
After considering the information provided, I am not satisfied that the applicant genuinely
intends to stay temporarily in Australia for the purposes set out above.
Therefore, I am not satisfied that the applicant meets the relevant criteria in clause 600.211
in Schedule 2 of the Migration Regulations.
